Install in five minutes
- Unzip this download. You need
zen-people-spotlight.sppkgfrom the folder. - Open the SharePoint admin center, then More features > Apps > Open to reach your tenant App Catalog. (No catalog yet? SharePoint creates one the first time you open Apps.)
- Upload
zen-people-spotlight.sppkgto Apps for SharePoint, tick Make this app available to all sites and choose Deploy. - Edit any modern page, choose + to add a web part, and pick Zen People Spotlight from the Zen Systems group.
- Open the web part settings (pencil icon). Under Data source press Create the list on this site; the list is created with the right columns and sample items. Edit the items to make it yours.

A rotating spotlight card for employee of the month, new joiners, award winners or anniversaries: award title, photo, name and role, managed from a SharePoint list.
Features
- List-driven carousel. People rotate automatically; dots let readers pick one.
- People from Microsoft 365. Pick a user and the name, job title and profile photo come from their profile.
- Your own photo if you prefer. Attach an image or set an image URL; initials are shown when there is no photo.
- Award title. A highlighted line above the photo, e.g. "Employee of the month".
- Adjustable photo size and optional card frame; colours follow the site theme.

Attachments enabled; an attached image wins over ImageUrl, which wins over the profile photo.
FAQ
Does it need Microsoft Graph permissions? No.
Can I show several people at once? This web part shows one person at a time. For a grid of people, contact us.
